Director of Business Transformation - Data and Analytics

We're seeking a Director of Business Transformation who excels in leveraging data and analytics to drive actionable insights. In this role, you'll be responsible for transforming and analyzing large datasets, both structured and unstructured, to provide valuable insights to our clients. Your ability to create comprehensive reports and deliver compelling presentations will be crucial in conveying complex findings in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate data and analytics into actionable insights, crafting reports, and delivering presentations to clients.
• Design and execute the transformation and analysis of large datasets, spanning both quantitative and qualitative dimensions.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, independently driving projects from requirements gathering to execution by implementing various data analytics solutions.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs, fostering strong internal and client relationships to manage cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• For candidates at the managerial level, showcase project management experience across various domains including accounting/finance, FP&A, modeling, and tech implementation.
• Effectively communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences, fostering collaboration, embracing new technologies, and prioritizing client success.
• Manage individual workflow and task responsibilities efficiently.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in Alteryx, Power Automate, PowerBI, Tableau, and other relevant data analytics tools.
• Expertise in data architecture, modeling, data science, and data visualization.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to utilize advanced functions.
• Background in finance/accounting with a solid understanding of financial principles.
• Familiarity with solution architecture, workflow automation, and programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, and R.
• Experience with RDMS and exposure to data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks.
• Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices.

Qualifications and Capabilities: We're looking for individuals with a balanced skill set comprising the following components:

1. Must-Have: Strong soft skills and general technical competence.
2. Major Concentration: Proficiency in at least one technical skill with extensive experience.
3. Minor Concentrations: Proficiency in multiple technical skills with significant experience.

Must-Have (Core Experience):

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as Accounting/Finance, Information Systems, Statistics, or Computer Science.
• Preferred certifications such as CPA or relevant designations.
• Background in analytics with experience in a client service environment.
• Excellent communication, teaming, presentation, and project management skills.
• Ability to research and generate ad-hoc solutions to complex problems.
• Strong Excel skills including formula manipulation.

Major/Minor Competencies:

• ETL Automation: Alteryx.
• Visualization: Tableau / MSFT PowerBI.
• Code-Based: Python (R acceptable but not preferred).
• Data Query: SQL (T-SQL) / (mySQL acceptable but not preferred).
• Relational Data: Understanding of Database syntax (Table Structure, Joins, Filters).
