Data Engineer/Data Warehouse Engineer

GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Littleton, CO looking to add a Data/Data Warehouse Engineer to their team. The role is a Contract to Hire or Direct Hire position. Hybrid work model with, must be in the office every Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building and maintaining optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting
• Design, develop, test, and deploy streaming and batch ingestion methods and pipelines across a variety of data domains
• Develop and create transformation queries, views, and stored procedures for ETL processes, and process automations.
• Creates, executes, and documents unit test plans for ETL and data integration processes and programs.
• Perform problem assessment, resolution, and documentation in existing ETL packages, mapping, and workflows in production.
• Documents ETL data mappings, data dictionaries, processes, programs, and solutions as per established standards for data governance.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data pipeline performance
  
  

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience working on Data Processing Frameworks and Tools.
• 2+ years of experience working on Big Data Processing Frameworks and Tools
• Proven expertise in Snowflake or similar Data Warehousing solutions.
• Experience using Matillion and ETL/ELT methodology (or similar ETL tools)
• Understanding of JDBC connections.
• Financial services experience will be a plus.
