Salesforce and Workday are this firm's primary repositories for the firm’s data. Other sources include both internal sources as well as external systems such as ContactNet and BoardEx. Any experience with these systems is major plus.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate with stakeholders to design a scalable data architecture.
Assure existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise.
Manage data and metadata to ensure adherence to consistent definitions, business naming standards, development of standard calculations and other compliance requirements.
Create and enforce procedures and governance for data integrity, data scrubbing, analytics and reporting.
Audit project level data governance deliverables to ensure that practices and standards are being met.
Ensure accurate and complete data in the organization’s primary data source (Salesforce).
Work with data stewards to ensure accurate and complete data and data-related processes across multiple systems.
Characteristics:
The Data Entry Manager is a logical thinker with mature interpersonal skills, and well-developed verbal and written capabilities. Able to deliver high quality work under time pressure, and is comfortable interacting with firm management.
The Data Manager possesses the following knowledge and skills:
Act as a subject matter expert and maintain knowledge of current and emerging data management, analytics and reporting technologies. Actively and continuously share technology knowledge with others.
Knowledge of how to design, develop, and manage database/data warehouse solutions to support current and future business needs.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
Good judgment, tact, diligence, and analytical rigor.
Requirements:
Ability to lead a team of people responsible for managing data and systems related to data.
Well rounded technologist: hands-on experience with legacy and modern data integration methods, SQL, stored procedures, scripting and query languages, messaging services, data virtualization.
Understanding of current philosophies of data warehouses, data lakes, et al and related processes/systems.
Familiarity with Salesforce and Workday data models and development is beneficial
Experience with reporting and analytics platforms such as Business Objects or Tableau.
Ability to apply and explain data lifecycle and MDM concepts.
Strong teamwork and the ability to facilitate technical approach and design.
Experience in the financial services industry is highly desired.
Experience with data integrity, data stewardship, data governance, data quality.
Bachelor's degree.
