The Opportunity

The Data Operations Analyst will support the DataWorks team by assisting in data analysis, reporting, and visualization efforts. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a strong foundational knowledge in data analysis who are eager to grow and develop their skills. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, the Data Operations Analyst will help enhance our data management and reporting capabilities, providing essential support for business decision-making and operational efficiency.

Your Impact

• Manage and resolve requests from business units for additions, edits and fixes to reports, dashboards, and tools, ensuring timely and accurate responses
• Assist in data preparation tasks, including data cleaning, deduplication, transformation, and consistency checks
• Collaborate with the IT team to understand database architecture and data lineages, enhancing data solutions and supporting related initiatives such as data integrations, system upgrades, and data migrations
• Conduct basic ad hoc analyses to uncover insights and patterns in data, supporting senior analysts in providing actionable recommendations
• Contribute to data governance initiatives by assisting in the development of data catalogs, report glossaries, and data policies
• Participate in the implementation and administration of data literacy programs, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization
• Continuously learn and apply new data analysis techniques and tools to improve data analytics capabilities
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Computer Science
• 0-2 years of experience in a data analysis role or a related position
• Basic proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar
• Basic understanding of database systems such as MSSQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Exposure to programming languages like Python or R is beneficial
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work collaboratively with business units and IT teams to support data solutions
• Experience in conducting basic data analyses and summarizing findings
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Eagerness to continuously learn and stay up to date with industry trends and technologies
