Position Overview:
The Deputy Director of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manages the day-to-day ERP Operations, resources, communications, stakeholders, and program governance. Under the supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, the deputy director will work directly with other IT directors and managers over applications, Project Management Office (PMO), Infrastructure and Security to ensure alignment with leadership vision and strategy. Primary responsibilities include the development, implementation and support of the People-soft application, knowledge of other applications and integrations with People-soft. Knowledge and management of systems analysis and programming activities that enable the organization's enterprise business processes such as human resources, payroll, and finance. Manages IT professionals who design/develop or acquire/adapt application software. Responsible for feasibility studies and time and cost estimates along with assisting in projecting software and hardware requirements. Provides overall direction and guidance to assigned project managers, reviews project requests, and coordinates schedules/departmental activities. Has overall responsibility for department decisions and management. Provides strategic direction, coaches, and mentors more junior management staff and/or senior technical staff. Accountable for IT functional/departmental results. Prepares activity and progress reports regarding applications systems analysis and programming. Applications Development may include both systems analysis and programming 'from scratch' or configuration of packaged products created by third parties. The Deputy Director of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) supports and implements the department's core values, vision and mission statement.
Job Duties:
- Manage team of functional and support resources focused on Peoplesoft and other enterprise applications
- Ensure successful and on time delivery of project initiatives providing business value and streamlined business processes.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Communicate and coordinate cross-functionally with business stake holders and various key business units.
- Manage and partner with vendors as appropriate.
- Establish and manage IT Controls across all applications.
- Responsible for creating yearly capital and expense budget.
- Responsible for all aspects of personnel development including performance reviews, compensation and recruiting.
- Responsible for establishing governance processes to ensure the team is addressing the highest priority issues first.
- Interact with a variety of functional stakeholders to understand business processes to help functional users become more efficient and effective at utilizing available business systems.

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification & Project Management certification required or must have the ability to acquire within 6 months of hire.
- Typically has 12-15 years of related management experience preferably with People-soft or comparable Enterprise Resource Planning application such as SAP, Workday etc.
- Must have extensive knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERPs) and Peoplesoft.
- Strong knowledge of human resources and finance business processes.
- Ability to establish a budget and manage financials for the team.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
- The ability to interact with staff and business users at all levels.
- Ability to execute projects and service delivery with limited direction in a highly complex environment.
Automatic Disqualification:
- Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for any Felony, and any Class A Misdemeanor
- Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for a Class B Misdemeanor, if within the previous 10 years
- Open arrest for any criminal offense (Felony or Misdemeanor)
- Family Violence conviction

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
- Monday - Friday | 40hrs
- Regular Full-time | Onsite Position
- Hybrid Schedule
- May be required to work more than forty hours during the workweek and/or weekends or on-call 24 hours a day to meet special projects or deadlines
- Subject to performing other duties as assigned
- Must live or plan to live in the Houston Texas metropolitan area
- Downtown Houston
