We are looking for a powerhouse in-house attorney to join our elite Legal Department, specializing in high-stakes litigation and offering strategic business counsel across the board. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in labor and employment law, combined with a talent for navigating complex legal landscapes. Shift Structure 



  • Remote position, M-F, 40-50 hours/week

  • Preferred hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.



Essential Functions & Responsibilities 



  • Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence, and actively prosecute cases through all stages of litigation.

  • Provide strategic legal advice on marketing, business development, compliance, employment regulations, and other corporate matters.

  • Prepare and manage discovery documents, conduct in-depth legal research, and craft compelling legal writing.

  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Recruiting, HR, Finance, Business Development, and other departments to align legal strategies with business goals.

  • Operate independently to manage caseloads and consistently meet tight deadlines.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures that align with evolving industry standards.

  • Stay current on healthcare laws, regulations, and emerging legal trends to provide proactive legal counsel.



Physical Requirements



  • Lift or move up to 20 lbs

  • Prolonged periods using computer and typing

  • Reliable transportation for external filings or mailings



Requirements and Qualifications



  • Minimum 15 years of legal practice post-Bar admission in complex labor and employment along with litigation experience

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

  • Timely, punctual regular attendance required

  • May require extended hours for urgent issues or to meet established deadlines

  • JD required, Bar license required (Licensed in MI) for litigation and healthcare can be anywhere in the US

  • Proficiency in using Monday.com, Slack, Google Suite, MS Office
