The purpose of this position is to listen and collaborate with our clients to develop programming and design concepts which bring creativity and innovation.

Position responsibilities + EXPECTATIONS
- Collaboration with design team on medium to large size projects and project teams (25,000sf to 200,000sf)
- Collaboration with design team during the project programming phase to understand client needs and desires
- Developing design iterations and leading discussions during concept design to refine ideas
- Interpreting, organizing, and coordinating assignments while executing client vision
- Planning and developing architectural projects with high complexities
- Exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection and development of concepts and methods
- Create architectural design, design coordination, renderings and graphics utilizing strength of design department
- Assist with material definition, outline specifications
- Support role in project coordination and document development (all phases)
- Business Development, marketing, marketing graphics, interviews, and presentations.
- Mentor junior design team members and promote learning opportunities
- Delegate work assignments for growth, matching responsibility to person
- Work independently and connect with Department Manager for reviews and resources
- Set right expectations and monitor activities and progress of project
- Licensed Architect with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field
- Able to show technical understanding of constructability and material selections that relate to design expression
- LEED accreditation preferred
- Able to sketch and draw by hand and create computer generated 3d graphics
- Able to create dynamic graphic presentations and exhibit solid design and communication skills
- Working knowledge of REVIT and Photoshop
- Solid foundational knowledge of health and safety codes
