Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Design Assistant to join our growing design team, for our sock and slipper categories. Whether you’re a recent graduate eager to make your mark in the fashion industry or someone looking to pivot into exciting new categories, this role, will offer you a fantastic opportunity to work closely with our Senior Designers on a variety of innovative projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the creation and updating of CADs, organizing design materials, and contributing to the overall design process. Our ideal candidate for this role must be highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, possess strong organizational skills, and have a passion for fashion and design.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Senior Designers to develop and update CADs for the sock and slipper category.
Assist in creating design concepts, mood boards, and presentations for internal and external reviews.
Maintain and organize design materials, including sock, slipper, and color samples, ensuring that all resources are cataloged and accessible.
Participate in the design process by providing input on color, pattern, and material selection, with an emphasis on aligning designs with current trends and brand aesthetics.
Assist in ensuring all design details are accurately documented on each CAD.
Track and manage design projects, ensuring that timelines are adhered to and that all necessary adjustments are made in a timely manner.
Support the Senior Designers in coordinating with the product development team, helping to resolve any design-related issues that may arise during the sampling and production process.
Provide administrative support to the design team, managing design files, and assisting with other design-related tasks as needed.
Experience and Skills
Degree in design, or a related field that demonstrates your dedication to the industry
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant design software.
A passion for fashion and an understanding of the sock and slipper market is a plus.
2-3 years of Internship experience strongly preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Impeccable time management skills with great sense of urgency
Highly organized and detail oriented with great appreciation for accuracy
Basic understanding of product creation process
Ability to proactively trouble shoot, and problem solve in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
Salary Disclosure:
Majesty Brands is committed to offering a compensation package that reflects the qualifications and experience of the individual. The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. While the posted salary range is $45,000 – $55,000, we recognize the value of exceptional talent and are open to negotiation for the right candidate.
