Responsibilities:

Become an integral part of Theory. We are looking for a Designer to join our team. This position will focus on Women's Wovens:

• Partner with the Design Director to create sketches, choose fabrics, and create prototypes throughout the conceptual design process
• Responsible for managing the design process, including sketching, tech pack creation and maintenance, garment fitting, and all development-related follow-up
• Responsible for ensuring that product is consistent with business strategy; interprets concepts and trends as they relate to market demands, company image, and business strategies.
• Partner with Fabric Specialist on the selection of all fabrics and trims
• Ensure that attention to detail is being paid to all products during all stages of development through to production
• Manage SMS requests, deadlines for SMS samples, and all communication to factories and vendors
• Accountable for process improvement and seeking opportunities that will positively affect the division/company
• Responsible for building, updating, and presenting fabric and sketch boards to cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

• 5-9+ years' experience in Wovens design
• Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design or related field
• Excellent sense of style & color and the ability to interpret trends
• In-depth knowledge of design techniques and processes
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up
• Flexible with the ability to self-manage and handle multiple priorities at once
• Must be a collaborative team player with great initiative
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Proven ability to identify areas where processes can be streamlined and efficiencies maximized
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Centric, Microsoft Excel, Outlook/Gmail, Fabric Archive, Sketch Archive and seasonal development chart

Salary: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00
