We are seeking a Development Operations Manager to join a fast-growing non-profit organization doing incredible work with children's aid. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the position will serve as a critical member of the growing team, designing and building the processes and procedures required to achieve short and long-term revenue goals for the organization. You will optimize the donor management platform, develop and manage Standard Operating Procedures across all functions of Development, and liaise with the Financial Controller to ensure seamless revenue tracking and reporting. You will design and implement mission-critical donor reports and dashboards within DonorPerfect, and perform important research and prospecting functions as needed, such as wealth screening and prospect research. An ideal candidate is extremely well organized and resourceful, and is a great listener, who thrives in a creative, collaborative, and diverse environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Manage and maximize usage of the donor database/CRM system, currently DonorPerfect.

● Build static and dynamic queries and reports, a shared organizational dashboard, and customized user dashboards in DonorPerfect.

● Direct and ensure accuracy of gift processing, working closely with the bookkeeper, from record keeping to acknowledging donors’ gifts in a timely manner, in line with IRS standards.

● Streamline and manage contracts for all donor-related software and systems, including DonorPerfect, GiveLively, and Wealth Engine.

● Create Standard Operating procedures for Development, including but not limited to the donor database, processing gifts, tracking donor/prospect activities, documenting major gifts and grants, etc.

● Build and manage a system for tracking the organizational prospect/donor pipeline, including staff portfolios.

● Serve as the liaison between Development and Finance to ensure data integrity, balanced books, and proper tracking of funds.

● Implement and enforce a system and timeline for report requests.

● Perform research for individual, corporate and foundation prospects, including wealth and capacity screening as needed.

● Prepare donor and prospect profiles upon request.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

● A minimum of 7 years’ experience in not-for-profit and/or non-governmental organization development operations. Experience with international NGOs is a plus.

● Expertise in operating and navigating donor management software, with preference given to DonorPerfect; command and extensive experience in RaisersEdge or Salesforce also a plus.

● Top-notch organizational, and project management, skills.

● Identifying opportunities for improvement is your superpower.

● Confidence in making recommendations and enforcing best practices.

● Ability to juggle many tasks, both big picture strategy as well as being able to execute on tactical day-to-day needs.

● Superb work ethic and time management skills.

● Attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Proficient in Google applications and Microsoft Office. Compensation $75K-$95K. Our package includes health benefits, and generous paid time off.
