multidisciplinary team of industry experts is equipped to make any sized vision a reality.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Digital Fabrication, the Digital Fabrication Manager will work alongside
department leaders as the conduit between Design and Fabrication to further develop projects from
ideation through to production. The Digital Fabrication Manager will oversee the production of finalized
design files / models, technical drawings, and files for the CNC machine operation on all pertaining
projects. This person is responsible for helping to develop and maintain internal departmental standards
and practices as well as team growth and evolution of skill sets. In addition, the Digital Fabrication Manager
will oversee the development of the drafting team's schedule, workflow, and timelines for all assigned
projects. The Digital Fabricaiton Manager themselves will also be responsible for delivery of shop drawings,
CNC files, Technical Design projects, and any other project specific deliverables, in addition to their
department management responsibilities.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
$95,000 - $105,000 annually

THE ROLE

projects. The Digital Fabricaiton Manager themselves will also be responsible for delivery of shop drawings,

department management responsibilities.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Mentor and supervise the Digital Fabrication team while supporting and developing departmental expertise
- Manage the technical drawing process to produce high-quality work, ensuring all deadlines + deliverables are met
- Interface with clients and vendors as needed per project
- Manage the delivery of shop drawings, CNC files, and all other specific materials within pre-established timelines
- Schedule Build Approach meetings with Fabrication, Draftspeople, Project Management
- Produce effective technical drawings for in-shop and vendor fabrication
- Produce files for the operation of the CNC machine
- Maintain and organize shared files according to departmental guidelines
- Deliver shop drawings, and all other specific materials within pre-established timelines
- Support Biz Dev, Design, Project Management, and Fabrication in the design and fabrication process throughout various project life cycles
- Manage a location-based pool of full-time and hourly draftspersons / technical designers with the guidance of the Director of Digital Fabrication
- Support and develop overall departmental goals and objectives as set in collaboration with the Director of Digital Fabrication and Leadership
- Work with the Director of Digital Fabrication and New Biz Department to establish estimated costs per project
- Work with the Director of Digital Fabrication to support and refine department protocols and department standards
- Support overall business goals as set by the company
- Attend weekly departmental meetings and project Pass-Off and Kick-Off meetings
- Assist in maintaining the organization of shared files according to departmental guidelines
- Assist in sourcing specialty materials, finishes, and hardware as defined by the scope of an awarded project
- Oversee creation and updating of standardized templates for internal and external use
- Participate and contribute to departmental and company culture objectives
- Complete project wrap reports for all awarded projects to aid in departmental and company growth
- 5+ years of professional industry experience
- Minimum three (3) years experience leading a team
- Working knowledge of VectorWorks SketchUp, Rhino 3D, AutoCad, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Suite
- Professional experience working in creating 3D designs / mechanical renderings /shop drawings
- Professional experience communicating with a client on behalf of a company and representing it as such
- Ability to decipher the speci?c needs of a client and to categorically understand priorities, both internal and external
- Ability to think creatively about a variety of challenges within the design and fabrication scope
- Working experience with various materials and fabrication techniques (wood, metal/welding, hardware, plastics, laminates, fabrics/textiles)
- Must be able to provide written reports and feedback
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and team driven
- Must be flexible and adaptable to constant change and able to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
