The Curl Factor is an up-and-coming, Washington-based, haircare brand specializing in curly hair. The company's primary focus is uniting the curly hair community with universal hair products for all textures while challenging the notion of extreme curl typing.

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Digital Marketing Intern. The intern will be responsible for tasks related to social media marketing, digital marketing, web analytics, online marketing, and communication to engage with the curly hair community and promote the company's products. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media management, and online sales within the beauty industry.

Candidates should be ready and able to dedicate 15-20 hours per week for 3-6 months, with an opportunity to extend at the end of the initial contract. There is also a 90-day review that includes pay increase discussions.

• Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing skills
• Knowledge of social media trends and platforms
• Creative Strategy familiarity (research & insights driven efforts)
• Digital Content creation and editing skills
• Online Community Management
• Experience with SEO, Web Analytics, and Online Marketing
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to multitask: must be able to listen and follow directions from the lead and meet deadlines
• Creativity, flexibility, attention to details
• Planning ability, project management, good communication skills
• Enthusiasm for the beauty and hair care industry
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Preferred experience with Shopify websites, Instagram, and TikTok Shop
• Adobe Creative Suite (or similar applications) experience is a plus
