Our client is a company that offers a unique approach to physiological birth for pregnant people, midwives and nurses, childbirth educators, and pregnancy-focused bodyworkers. Online and in-person, they help parents have comfort in pregnancy and ease in birth. Recognized worldwide, their team of Approved Trainers, Aware Practitioners, and Certifed Parent Educators are teaching their approach in over 50 countries to birth professionals to use in and out of the hospital.


About this role:

Our client is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist with proven experience delivering impactful consumer communications, and driving growth, for small to medium size businesses. The ideal candidate will excel at creating, executing and optimizing marketing campaigns across multiple channels including email, web, and social media. They will know the current digital marketing landscape and will follow its many twists and turns as it evolves. We are looking for a creative self-starter with strong project management skills.


Availability and Location:

This is an independent contractor position, estimated for between 24 and 32 hours per week. Business hours are 9 am-5 pm Central Standard Time M-F, it is our preference that some of the working hours are in this timezone and regular meetings with team members are held during these hours. Attendance of weekly meetings each Thursday at 11am CST is essential. The company is based in Minnesota, and team members primarily deliver services virtually. This is a remote position.


Duties & Responsibilities:


Content Creation

  • Written content
  • Write social media copy (only for the occasional ad hoc tasks that sit outside copywriter scope)
  • Review copy provided by copywriter and ensure it’s fit for the channel (emails, website, social media)
  • Graphic content
  • Create images for social channels
  • Create infographics for social channels
  • Video content
  • Storyboard and create stories for social channels
  • Storyboard and create reels for social channels


Content Scheduling

  • Create content/editorial calendar based on content strategy
  • Manage content/editorial calendar
  • Manage the review and sign-off process of all content marketing including the coordination reviews and sign-off of all marketing material
  • Schedule emails and social posts


Community Management

  • Respond to comments on Instagram, Linkedin and Facebook pages
  • Support the team in nurturing the communities inside FB Groups


Demand Generation

  • Design and create funnels
  • Coordinate the build of landing pages including landing pages and managing


Advertising

  • Plan and execute social media ad campaigns


Metrics/Data

  • Regularly collate and analyze
  • Email performance data
  • Funnel performance
  • Social media stats
  • Use data from across the marketing spectrum to inform future marketing plans and respond to shifts in the marketing landscape to ensure we stay relevant


CRM Management

  • Organize customer data
  • Create email sequences in Ontraport


Team

  • Collaborate with other departments and individuals on projects and tasks
  • Attend weekly operations meetings and provide input on relevant projects, where required
  • Provide weekly marketing updates to Leadership


Experience and Skills


Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related
  • 2-3+ years experience working in Digital Marketing & Communications
  • Demonstrable experience working for small to medium-sized businesses, driving sales and growth
  • Knowledge of current and future social media, content and general marketing trends and best practices
  • Adept with using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Ontraport, Wordpress
  • A detail-oriented self-starter with strong work ethic and follow-through


Desirable

  • Knowledge of SEO and keyword research is a plus
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, tenacious and a go-getter attitude
  • Consumer-focused with a desire to offer authentic value in exchange for their investment in our client
