Job Title: Director of FP&A

Location: NYC Metro Area

Work Schedule: 4 Days On-Site, 1 Day Remote

Compensation: $180,000 - $200,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus

Position Overview

Our client, a fast-growing company in the NYC Metro Area, is seeking a Director of FP&A to lead the financial planning and analysis function. This role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and provide strategic insights to support executive decision-making. The Director of FP&A will play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial strategies and ensuring alignment with its business objectives. The candidate will work on-site 4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support strategic decision-making and business performance analysis.
  • Provide data-driven insights and financial recommendations to senior leadership to inform business decisions and financial strategies.
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational objectives.
  • Manage the capital allocation process, conducting scenario analysis and assessing ROI on key investments.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews, presenting insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence, modeling, and integration planning.
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes and systems to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Director of FP&A or in a senior financial leadership role.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong track record of providing strategic financial insights to support executive-level decision-making.
  • Experience with M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
