Direct Support Professional DSP – IMMEDIATE HIRING AT $16 PER HOUR (plus higher pay rates for experience and working at certain locations).
The pay rate range for this position is $16 - $17.65 per hour depending on years of prior experience with NYS OPWDD programs.

The role of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is more than a job it is a career that makes a positive impact every day in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and autism. As a DSP you are directly responsible for the people supported and their overall safety and well-being, helping them achieve a rich and full life.
Preferred Requirements
GED or High School Diploma preferred
Valid NY or out of state Driver’s License
Prior experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or an OPWDD agency preferred
AMAP, CPR & SCIP training preferred. *PAID Trainings* are offered for required certification.
Responsibilities
Provide support to people living in the residence including activities that encourage independence, community engagement, and group recreation trips or outings.
Provide support and training for each person based on their wants, needs, and goals.
Drive agency vans and use safe driving best practices.
Have scheduling flexibility; may be required to work with adjustments to the normal shift
Assist with activities of daily living, including self-care, to the extent needed
