Director Acquisition

Morrow & Associates is hiring a Director of Acquisitions (Multifamily), on behalf of our client, a leading, national multifamily developer and operator, ranked Top Workplace by NMHC (National Multifamily Housing Council).

As the Director of Acquisitions your primary responsibility is to source new multifamily land opportunities and secure approvals for new multifamily developments in your assigned markets. You will report to the Vice President of Acquisitions Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate sites based on company site selection criteria and complete financial analysis to determine viability and profitability of potential sites.
• Complete risk/reward analysis; identification of critical path.
• Understand the pro-forma including total project costs, revenue projections, cash flows and how each variable effects return.
• Present projects to Investment Committee and external partners such as lenders, investors, and municipal staff/politicians.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of success in the real estate industry in a transaction role - development and/or acquisitions.
• Solid business acumen, robust interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and a drive for results.
• Builds relationships to support team collaboration, understands how to navigate through and anticipate challenges, easily adapts to find thoughtful solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Business required.

This is a sourcing role and lucrative compensation is tied into each deal. Compensation package will include an attractive base salary + substantial bonuses and incentives.

While this position offers a remote work schedule, the role is required to live in or relocate to the Greater Chicago or Greater Milwaukee area.
