Job Purpose

The Acura Department Head Leads and oversees the strategy, planning, development and execution of all Acura Automobile Marketing Initiatives. Approve plans and budget driving brand equity for Acura automobiles as well as ensures marketing is optimized to yield best sales results.

Key Accountabilities

  • Leads Creative Strategy, regional marketing strategy, digital/social activities, multi-cultural approach, and development of overall marketing plans.
  • Presents plans directly to President and BUL on a monthly basis and ad hoc. Provides direction and feedback to agencies on how to go-to-market.
  • Leads SP (Sales Plan) for marketing and coordinates strategies with Product Planning and Sales team. With this team develops go-to-marketing approach for FMCs and MMCs and presents strategy to President for Approval
  • Lead Acura Marketing Representative to Acura Auto Dealers
  • Grass Roots and Various Dealer Meeting and Events. Attend meetings, Present National POV and activities to Dealers and Agencies. Share plans and align plans so that investments are maximized by eliminating duplication. Ensure that investments leverage both factory, and local dealer data.
  • Presents at Acura Dealer show to 2000+ people at annual business meeting
  • Leads marketing support to achieve sales representing monthly plans and results to Division Head, BUH and Executives in Sales and Marketing correlation meeting. Prepares Division Head for final presentation to President.
  • Drive efficient spending and match sales to marketing activities (Qualified Traffic Analysis) - Manage analytics from sales to website ratios to understand marketing’s relationship to sales. Specifically identify what marketing gaps are seen with in the 4 core Marketing KPIS:
    • Qualified Web Traffic Ratio to Sales and understand what actions are necessary
    • Understand Monthly Google Search Trends by model across all phases of the purchase funnel
    • Understand Edmunds and Third-Party Site Data for both Acura and competitive brands
    • Understand Hall & Partners Data on Brand and its relationship to sales and the overall segment
  • Ensures collaboration and unity of both internal and external associates affiliated with Acura Auto Department
  • Leads Monthly Correlation Synergy Meeting with All Divisional associates and affiliated agencies.
  • Leads monthly call with all Acura Marketing Subcommittee
  • Coordinate information with Ad Agencies –
    • Mange call with regard to Strategy with corresponding agenda, action times. Ensure all ad builder assets are current and communicated.
    • Work with compliance agency and dealer ad programs to ensure all brand guidelines are being met.
  • Represents Acura Marketing to Press
  • Shares marketing plans and creative with both endemic and consumer press such as WSJ, Autonews, Forbes, etc.
  • Participates in speaking events to further understanding of the Acura brand and marketing approach.
Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12-20+ years of experience
  • 2-5 years Auto experience
  • 10 years marketing related field
  • Marketing experience required

    • Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
