The Director of Business Development is a key leadership role responsible for driving lead generation initiatives that fuel the growth of ShopMy's Brand Growth team. This person will play an integral role in scaling ShopMy by sourcing world class brand partnerships. This individual will leverage existing networks and build new lead generation channels, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential brand partnerships. Additionally, the Director will manage and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives, guiding them to achieve their targets and develop professionally.

Roles and Responsibilities…
- Develop and execute a comprehensive lead generation strategy that aligns with the company's growth goals.
- Leverage ShopMy's existing networks to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential brand partners, industry influencers, and internal teams
- Explore and build new lead generation channels, including partnerships, events, and digital marketing efforts
- Act as a brand ambassador for ShopMy, representing the company at industry events and conferences
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback and monitoring team performance
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of lead generation activities, using data to refine strategies and improve outcomes, and providing regular progress reports to senior leadership
- Work closely with the broader Brand Growth sales team to ensure alignment between lead generation efforts and overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to optimize lead nurturing and conversion strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
- 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position
- Comfortable interacting with C-suite executives across industries and building strong relationships to bolster lead generation
- Proven track record of successfully driving lead generation and managing a high-performing sales and/or business development team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage competing initiatives simultaneously and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
- Strong understanding of the fashion, beauty, and consumer goods industry, with a network of relevant contacts
- Passionate about the creator economy
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and make informed decisions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and results-oriented approach
