What You’ll Do

This position will report into SVP, Business Development and work alongside senior business solutions leadership to drive pitch strategy and elevate storytelling for new business assignments. They will also strategically collaborate with internal stakeholders and various centers of excellence throughout the organization to support new business pitch efforts.

40% - Media / Business Strategy

  • Partner with BST lead to help coordinate RFP “planning process” & timeline; help guide planning teams as needed
  • Provide objective perspective to pitch strategy to ensure fresh approach and new, compelling thinking

30% - Professional Writing, Content Creation

  • Facilitate pitch deck outline/slide and case study creation, borrowing from past pitches and best-in-class client decks
  • Help create strategic framework (narrative) to shape RFP responses
  • Manage relationships throughout the agency to be consistently in the know of the latest and greatest work

30% - Project Management

  • Ensure consistency across pitch efforts, applying best practices for storytelling, communicating critical insights, showcasing our data-driven approach, etc.
  • Ensure all pitch participants are clear on strategic direction, as well as roles and responsibilities at all times
  • Work closely with new business team to ensure pitch development is meeting internal and external deadlines
  • Maintain database of key credential information, stats and case studies

Who You Are

  • A storyteller who excels at translating multiple ideas and thought streams into clearly defined strategy
  • Well versed in communication strategy and media planning, with a passion for innovation and creativity
  • A big picture thinker, with an eye for detail
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and thrive on managing multiple projects
  • Able to multitask while exhibiting great attention to detail
  • Must have strong intrapersonal skills, and be confident in sharing POV and managing talent of diverse seniority to ensure deadlines are met
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, ‘remain calm amidst chaos’
  • Strong communication skills, keeping all in the loop on project status and new content
  • Enthusiasm for nurturing junior talent on team
  • Must be deadline-oriented

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in communications strategy (exposure to data, analytics and digital strategy preferred)
  • Must have extensive experience developing strategy presentations and participation in delivery
  • Experience with data-driven audience development a plus
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple teams and disciplines to create a cohesive deliverable
  • MS Office, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail/Teams
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Flexibility with work hours – occasional late nights and/or weekends may be necessary during pitch period
  • Openness to occasional pitch travel

Salary Range

$140,000.00 - $165,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity. As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach.
