Position Summary

The Director, Business Transformation is responsible for leading Centricity Research’s business and digital transformation and will play an integral part in achieving world-class operations using our strategic plan as a guide and focusing on problem-solving, process optimization, change management, and developing business insights. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will regularly interact with other leaders on strategy, planning, and operational implementation.

The Director of Business Transformation is at the center of accelerating Centricity’s ability to deliver against its strategic and financial goals. The scope of value creation initiatives is largely focused on implementing Salesforce across the enterprise and the adjacent transformation of our other technologies, business process engineering, M&A integrations, and change management functions, using Lean/Six Sigma techniques. This leader must be comfortable deriving meaning and relevance from imperfect information based on raw data, stakeholder interviews, and operational investigations, and have a strong bias toward action.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the executive team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support key resolution-making
  • Analyze current business operations, and develop and execute an annual roadmap for business optimization
  • Under the guidance of external consulting and development resources, project manage the design and implementation of Salesforce across the enterprise, ensuring all key milestones are met with excellence
  • Lead and manage cross-functional value creation initiatives from ideation through operationalization, honoring commitments for timeliness, quality, budget, business outcomes, and ensuring that SMEs are involved in the process
  • Create and implement change strategies and plans in a collaborative way that enhance stakeholder adoption and minimizes resistance to ensure success
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the results of transformation efforts and track the company's progress toward its strategic goals
  • Foster a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous learning to enable the organization to stay ahead of industry trends and customer requirements
  • Identify and implement best practices, creative solutions, and industry benchmarks to establish world-class business operations
  • Analyze complex business problems, business cases and organizational issues and deliver meaningful recommendations guiding the development of a strategy and roadmap for implementation
  • Develop plans to manage end-to-end activities, success criteria, roadmap, milestones, teaming, and deliverables
  • Proactively mitigate risks, issues and obstacles raised by stakeholders, ensure action items are clearly defined, assigned to owners, and driven to resolution on time
  • Partner with leadership to develop, deploy and oversee initiative standards, best practices, and results measures
  • Constantly challenge the status quo by performing retrospectives, guiding improvements, and sharing best practices
  • Utilize lean tools and approach to solve complex problems and ensure the most efficient processes possible; Serve as an educator and role model for lean tools to broaden the knowledge of others in the organization to begin to instill lean in how we think, operate, and do work; Ensure that team member involvement is a part of all lean projects and process improvements
  • Utilize a flexible and adaptable approach toward action that is aligned with the current and desired business state. Engage, teach, and influence others to ensure they are receiving maximum value from the Business Transformation role
  • Inspire all team members through a combination of hands-on work and strategic guidance to achieve ever increasing levels of process optimization that drives successful results

Education & Experience

  • Minimum education of Bachelor’s degree, with a strong preference for Master’s level education
  • Expertise in leveraging and training teams on Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies
  • Significant experience in Salesforce, including implementation
  • Minimum of 5 years in transformational leadership, project management, and/or business consulting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate, lead and deliver results in large-scale initiatives, preferably using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ability to quickly form productive and positive working relationships with staff with varying levels of skill and technical and business backgrounds
  • Deep analytics and structured problem-solving skills with great attention to details
  • Advanced financial and business acumen
  • Excellent leader with exceptional communication skills, emotional intelligence, executive presence, and the ability to lead and work across organizational boundaries
  • Passion and expertise in SaaS/Cloud strategy, transformation, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to navigate organizational change with ease
  • Ability to think outside the box and come to the table with proposed solutions
