Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Customer Analytics to lead our organization's efforts in leveraging customer data for strategic decision-making and enhancing customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems, along with proven leadership abilities to drive cross-functional collaboration and innovation.

As the Director of Consumer Analytics, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of our CDP strategy to maximize customer insights, improve marketing effectiveness, and drive business growth.The leader should be able to influence business leadership, partner with technology team and articulate a business value driven roadmap to enable end to end planning using innovative tools.

Ability to traverse the organization with top down and bottom up thinking of defining and enabling capabilities is critical to this role.

Qualifications

What you'l get to do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive consumer analytics strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives in collaboration with marketing & ecommerce/retail teams
  • Coordinate with key analytics stakeholders to track overall program needs and progress
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboard for consumer analytics use cases
  • Maintain backlog of consumer analytics use cases and support business owners in assessing value opportunity and feasibility
  • Provide recommendations for enterprise-wide enhancements based on aggregated use case needs
  • Proactively identify key dependencies across use case and ensure relevant parties are informed and aligned on solution
  • Ensure budget, resources, and value delivery across use cases are in alignment
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of consumer platforms and technologies to effectively collect, consolidate, and analyze customer data.
  • Define data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, privacy compliance, and security within the ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, IT, and product development, to identify business requirements and drive consumer analytics initiatives.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in customer data management and analytics.
  • Lead a team of data analysts, engineers, and marketers to execute initiatives effectively.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and customer-centricity across the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding of consumer analytics capabilities and limitations.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, agencies, and partners to leverage external expertise and resources for consumer analytics initiatives when necessary.


Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years overall work experience
  • Proven track record of 3+ years of experience in product management & 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in the retail industry, with a focus on consumer analytics solutions (e.g., personalization, demand forecasting, website conversion) 
  • Strong technical background in data integration, database management, and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau).
  • Required 3+ years experience in retail/apparel space analyzing and enabling consumer data
  • Deep understanding of customer data lifecycle management, segmentation, and personalization strategies.
  • Experience in leading consumer analytics implementations and managing cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards for data security and compliance.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of driving organizational change and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

The salary range for this role is $210,000 per year - $225,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
