We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Cyber Security to join our team at a large, privately held company with an annual revenue over $2 billion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our cyber security efforts to protect our digital assets, maintain data privacy, and ensure the resilience of our information systems against cyber threats.

  • Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security strategies and policies.
  • Oversee the security of end-user interactions, digital identities, end-point devices, network infrastructure, and system architectures.
  • Lead the information security program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate data.
  • Manage a team of cyber security professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the department.
  • Coordinate with other departments to integrate security practices into their workflows and systems.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Respond to and recover from security incidents and breaches, minimizing impact and implementing lessons learned.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies to keep our defenses up-to-date.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in cyber security within a sizable enterprise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Professional security management certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing cyber security strategies.
  • Strong understanding of network architectures, cloud computing, and mobile security.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and frameworks such as PCI, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
