ActiveCampaign is searching for a Director, Enterprise Project Management to join our team and lead the development of our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). The objective of the enterprise project management office is to ensure that strategic cross-functional programs and projects are executed effectively and delivered on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the EPMO using best-in-class
project management methodologies, standards and tools. They should have a track record
of successfully managing large, enterprise-wide projects, including but not limited to digital
transformations, go-to-market (GTM) launches, acquisition integrations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the EPMO using best-in-class
project management methodologies, standards and tools. They should have a track record
of successfully managing large, enterprise-wide projects, including but not limited to digital

What Your Day Could Consist Of
- Establish EPMO center of excellence that aligns with the Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, quality standards and company strategy.
- Develops, tracks, and maintains project development timelines (integrated project timelines), project deliverables and milestones, including understanding and communicating inter-dependencies and critical path activities.
- Drives cross-functional planning and effective execution through the development and monitoring of fully integrated, cross-functional, project specific timelines and budgets.
- Leads the coordination of project activities and resources across the organization in a manner that maximizes efficiency and minimizes conflicts.
- Facilitates and leads team discussions on project strategies, short-term and longterm project planning, opportunities for expediting timelines, identification of resource constraints, and proactively identify complex project issues and risks, and assure appropriate escalation.
- Ensures the business achieves its business outcomes, managing change effectively, understanding the value of the projects and ensuring the appropriate level of transparency via KPI reporting and other communications.
- Implement efficiencies that meet or exceed the financial expectations established at project initiation.
- Manages the overall EPMO project portfolio.
- Monitor projects, programs and portfolio to ensure compliance with project policies and standards as well as keeping to schedules, budgets and quality expectations.
- Manage project, program and portfolio deliverables and tasks.
- Supports and develops the EPMO through assessing staffing and skill requirements, establishing professional development plans, setting goals and expectations with team members, mentoring, and giving feedback on performance.
- Hires, manages and coaches direct reports to drive optimal performance, including balancing program scope, schedule, and quality across team.
- Coordinate deliverables with project managers, analysts, market leads, et al., while supporting contractors and reporting structure.
- Reports to executive team on progress and performance of EPMO.
- Works with executive team to assess and decide on which proposals have the highest potential value, impact and strategic alignment.
- Identify project, program and portfolio priorities, address challenges and communicate project risks and opportunities.
- Works closely with and builds strong working relationships with cross-functional team members to develop a collaborative team environment.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project and program management, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- PMP or PJMP certification is highly desired.
- Proven record managing teams and strategic projects at the enterprise level.
- Successfully manages project deliverables and keeps to timelines.
- Analyze complex activities and information to help guide decision-making that meets the overall objectives and long-range plans of projects and the organization.
- Experience with project management software.
- Experience in managing enterprise digital transformation, go-to-market, and other strategic programs.
- Expert knowledge of project and change management methodologies, techniques and processes.
- Able to manage budget, cost and profitability.
- Resource management skills and knowledge of tools.
- High-level communication, interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with project managers, internal teams, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Experience monitoring and evaluating projects, programs and portfolios.
- Teach and mentor junior project managers.
- Drive decision-making within a multi-disciplinary, matrixed team.
- Flexible, adaptable and resourceful.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and management of high-performing teams.
