About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Accounting/Controller to lead and manage our global accounting operations, ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards, driving financial KPIs and overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SaaS financials, a deep understanding of GAAP, and a track record of scaling finance operations in a high-growth environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and timely delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for our US and India entities in accordance with US GAAP. Develop and maintain reporting schedules to provide transparency into financial performance.
- Accounting Operations: Manage all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and tax.
- Cash Management: Manage cash flow and treasury functions, including forecasting and monitoring cash levels to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and strategic planning initiatives. Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing detailed variance analysis and working closely with department heads to adjust projections as necessary.
- Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Audit and Compliance: Manage all external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit results. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
- Systems and Tools: Optimize the company’s financial systems and tools, including ERP systems, to support scalable growth and operational efficiency. Lead initiatives to automate and streamline accounting operations, leveraging technology to reduce manual tasks and improve data integrity.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the global accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team primarily based in India
- 5-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience implementing/upgrading ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis
- CPA license (active or inactive) preferred

This role is a hybrid role. Employees will be in the office at our Bellevue, WA location 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.
Compensation Band
$195,000 - $243,000
