SUMMARY:

As the Each & Every Director of Brand Marketing you’ll be at the center and in the lead of creativity and strategy, bringing our brand to life across campaigns, partnerships, events, and retail. You will represent the Marketing division on our leadership team and will have responsibility for brand messaging, brand identity, and brand experience. Your role involves translating marketing objectives into compelling content and experiences that resonate with our audience. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution and delivery of 360 marketing initiatives across key touchpoints - social, digital, and retail. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage campaigns, and drive results. 

 

This role reports directly to the CEO and is NYC based.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.      Strategic Planning:

  • Develop strategies and tactics to enhance the brand’s reputation, drive organic interest and qualified traffic.
  • Create and deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution across various organic, paid, and retail channels.
  • Create and manage the annual marketing calendar (campaign moments, events, partnerships, sampling, merch, promotions)
  • Develop and oversee social media content strategy and team

2.      Content Creation and Management:

  • Lead creation of and curate valuable and engaging content and brand experiences for all marketing touchpoints
  • Develop and maintain a consistent visual and verbal brand identity across all marketing channels.
  • Brainstorm new creative concepts for marketing campaigns and social content
  • Provide creative direction to graphic designers, illustrators, and photographers. Coordinate with external agencies or freelancers when needed.
  • Develop & refine brand & product messaging, ensuring key messaging is consistent across all customer touchpoints
  • Lead creation of product concepts, marketing copy, claims, & education materials
  • Develop clear & thoughtful creative briefs for content team to create best-in-class assets
  • Manage marketing projects from inception to completion, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Manage & develop team members, delegating assignments & supporting career growth

3.      Budget Management:

  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Allocate funds wisely to maximize impact, using insights to optimize budget allocation

4.      Collaboration and Partnerships:

  • Help identify, concept, and execute brand partnerships that drive growth and expand brand presence
  • Partner with Sales to oversee visual merchandising and tell our brand and product stories in a retail setting
  • Partner with external stakeholders to enhance marketing efforts.

5.      Market Research and Trends:

  • Stay informed about emerging trends, competitor visuals, and industry best practices.
  • Apply insights to elevate our brand’s visual storytelling.

 

 

QUALIFIYING EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in marketing, with the potential and attitude required to learn. Minimum 7 years marketing experience within a start-up environment.
  • In the Know. Have your finger on the pulse of culture, social media, and beauty trends. 
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills. Ability to interface with a wide range of individuals and develop strong relationships internally and externally
  • Strategic thinker. Must be able to create and execute a strategy yet revise plans in mid-course if necessary
  • Innovative. Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness and with positivity 
  • Superior execution abilities, deliver what needs to be done to meet objectives, prioritizes and plans work actions, establishes and meets goals and objectives. Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Creativity: Ability to turn creative ideas into effective marketing campaigns. Can integrate various sources of information into one coherent idea.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for visual branding - typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Based in NYC
