Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Director of Business Development for our fantastic client, a leading senior home care services provider in Oregon! This newly created position plays a pivotal role in generating new private pay revenue streams for a growing, purpose-driven organization renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional care for its clients and caregivers. This full-time position is based in Portland or Hood River, OR, and is for immediate hire!


Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the Director of Business Development spearheads innovative strategies, builds strategic partnerships, and drives fiscal growth while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to expand the private pay market footprint and ensure sustained profitability across existing and future locations.
  • Forge and cultivate strategic partnerships with key referral sources, building trust and fostering mutually beneficial collaborations that drive new revenue streams.
  • Identify and pursue strategic expansion opportunities, propelling the company into new markets and territories.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities to maximize individual and collective success.
  • Advocate for continuous client and caregiver experience improvement, ensuring exceptional outcomes.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events, staying abreast of market trends and regulatory updates.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and provide data-driven recommendations to inform statetic expansion and growth efforts.
  • Collaborate with key departmental leaders to develop aligned performance goals and long-term operational plans that drive sustainable growth and compliance with all Oregon Administrative Rules and federal and State laws.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to client paperwork, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all documentation.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, preferably in the healthcare or senior care industry.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources, including healthcare professionals, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Experience leading and motivating teams.
  • Strong marketing and networking skills, with the ability to develop and implement successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other relevant business tools.
  • Deep understanding of Oregon Administrative Rules and federal and State laws related to healthcare.


TRAVEL:

The position will be based at either the Portland or Hood River branches, with occasional travel between the two locations. Candidates based in Portland should expect to commute to Hood River approximately once a month.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

In addition to offering a competitive base salary (DOE) ranging from $95,000 to $125,000, this role provides up to $20,000 in annual bonuses based on client acquisition!
