Director of Career Services

Southern Careers Institute (SCI) is seeking a dynamic Director of Career Services to join our growing campuses in Central and South Texas regions. WHO WE ARE:

SCI has been changing lives for over 60 years, now and we’re just getting started. We offer certification-based training with programs in Medical, Business, Cosmetology, Skilled-Trades and Technology with campuses spanning across central and south Texas as well as online. Our students can graduate most of our programs in under one year and with real-world experience under their belt.

WORKING AT SCI:

As the Director of Career Services, you will manage and guide the vision and long-term strategic planning for careers that support students and alumni of Southern Careers Institute. In addition, you will oversee the Career Services job search support, programming, and resources for students and alumni. Lead and supervise a team of Career Services professionals to plan, develop and administer career and employment assistance programs for students and alumni.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred;
• 5+ years management experience in professional recruiting, temp agency recruiting, career center or human resources;
• Must have demonstrable management and organizational skills;
• Strong understanding of regulatory procedures and compliance;
• Knowledge of curriculum and graduation requirements;
• Knowledge of academic student record keeping in a setting of higher education;
• Strong familiarity with the local job market.
