Director of Clinical Business Operations

Our client is looking for a Director, Business Operations to support the Clinical Operations team.

The role involves overseeing the daily operations of overall Clinical Operations budget and resources, clinical study budgets with cross-functional teams and departments, assisting with CRO contracts for statement of work, fiscal units and services, managing and building business operations team, and ensuring efficient collaboration between all departments. Ad hoc administrative projects as they relate to clinical trial and Clinical Operations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in clinical trials business management in biotech, pharma and or CROs
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively build and coordinate teams
• Demonstrated ability to use excel, and create data driven discussions.
• Demonstrated ability to present business operations to senior leaders, chair committees and regular cross-functional meetings.
• Ability to analyze data, identify business operational efficiencies, and drive process improvements
• Ability to drive contractual commitments, financial accountability, and quality outcomes with vendors.
• Partner effectively with study teams, study management and clinical operations stakeholders – finance etc.
• Demonstrated ability with conflict resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree: MBA preferred
• 15+ years of work experience with Business aspects of Clinical Trials and Clinical Operations

MS Office, particularly excel.

• CRO experience a plus: Biotech or Pharma necessary
