Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the CSRMO is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of an effective compliance program with applicable laws and regulations consistent with current best practice and guidance.
  • Demonstrates advanced critical thinking, especially during investigations, process reviews and risk mitigation.
  • Directs and provides oversight of the compliance program, including risk management assessments, health records processing, patient referral tracking, internal/external audits, and contract management.
  • Directs and implements all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program by means of reviews, relevant training, and a system of consistent enforcement of the rules and the development/implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Directs and provides oversight of policy and procedures governance and timely approval processes.
  • Develops strategic gap and trend analyses for the company to identify and access key risk areas and establish appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Conducts extensive research and provides responses to questions regarding regulations, regulators, and impacted business practices in subject areas such as Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) program requirements, Health Center best practices, and new program development.
  • Stays up to date on industry changes, trends, laws, regulatory updates, and best practices.
  • Actively participates on various committees such as Quality Improvement, 340B Compliance.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, and guides direct reports on performance and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, or Related Healthcare Field.
  • 2-4 years legal or compliance experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Must be fully proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Proven ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data from a variety of sources is essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of management concepts for effective supervision and staff administration with the ability to prioritize multiple demands.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and across functional areas.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in schedules and flexibility in work requirements.
  • Ability to perform critical thinking to achieve positive outcomes.

Physical Demand And Working Environment

Fast paced office setting with travel to other offices often. Lifting and/or exerting force up to 15 pounds occasionally, with frequently moving of objects. Work requires speaking, sitting, bending, walking, standing, hearing, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive motion with certain activities. 8 hours of constant computer usage. OSHA low risk position.
