Who are we looking for?

We’re on the lookout for a Director of Finance who will play a crucial role of owning and developing the overall finance functions of the company.

What will you do?

Finance Leadership

• Work with the leaders to solve strategic & financial challenges with a data-driven approach.
• Develop & implement business plans & evaluating various initiatives, including new products, & allocating capital across them.
• Manage the finance team to set priorities, assign accountability, & assess performance.
• Promote a culture of high performance & continuous improvement that values learning & a high commitment to quality.
• Work closely with the legal on risk management & managing insurance programs.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Prepare the annual operating budget & drive quarterly re-forecasts.
• Lead long-term planning process across the organization & own the financial forecast.
• Provide frequent financial information & KPIs that allow our leadership team to reach & stay on track with our financial goals & metrics.
• Manage financial analysis to drive decision-making for our leaders across diverse initiatives.

Accounting & Finance Operations

• Lead corporate finance function and other fiscal responsibilities.
• Ensure we have the right funding (both debt & equity) in all areas of the business & are properly capitalized at all times.
• Maintain & drive the roadmap for our finance systems
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, annual audits, and regulatory filings.
• Foster strong ties with external partners like banks, tax advisors, ensuring top-tier service delivery.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 10 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably with a stint in public accounting as well as an internal finance/accounting role
• Certifications: CPA certification is required
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, MBA is preferred
• Technical knowledge: Proficiency in CAS, IFRS, and US GAAP.
• Communication: Ability to liaise with regulator, tax authority, auditor, or other stakeholders
• Soft skills: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, high energy level, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical Prowess: Demonstrated knack for dissecting financial data, coupled with an unwavering ethical compass.
• Adaptability: A fluid, flexible style with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Please take note that this is fully remote Independent Contractor role that can be either part time or full time commitment.
