POSITION TITLE: Director of Financial Operations


REPORTS TO:        Vice President of Finance


STATUS:                  Full Time, Exempt



PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Operations responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, and providing strategic financial insights to drive business success. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, data analysis, and strategic planning. The candidate will be responsible for tracking and analyzing revenue trends and preparing detailed revenue projections and other financial calculations. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, expertise in accounting and financial operations and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to senior management.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for tracking and analyzing revenue trends by entity, contract, and member including but not limited to:

·      Developing and preparing detailed spreadsheets and reports to monitor revenue performance and compare to budget;

·      Identifying and interpreting key drivers of revenue changes and providing actionable insights;

·      Preparing detailed projections for revenue and member revenue shares as part of the budgeting and forecasting processes, including splits by entity and on a consolidated basis;

·      Collaborating with various departments to understand historical performance and ensure accurate integration of revenue projections into overall financial plans.

Utilize our CRM system, Salesforce, to extract and analyze relevant financial data.

Reconcile CRM data to financials to ensure completeness and accuracy of data sources.

Perform detailed calculations related to commissions, revenue shares, and other financial metrics.

Calculate intercompany revenue allocations for certain contracts.

Calculate and monitor performance of historical acquisitions.

Maintain and update the cash flow model and projections.

Monitor cash flow trends and provide recommendations for optimizing cash management and liquidity.

Track and monitor investment portfolio activity and complete related schedules for recognition in the financials.

Track and monitor financials related to the e-commerce business segment.

Assist in year-end audit preparations in related areas.

Conduct ad hoc analyses to evaluate potential new acquisitions, proposals, and business opportunities.

Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial computations.

Prepare and present detailed reports, presentations, and visualizations to senior management on forecasts, trends, and financial performance.

Provide strategic recommendations based on analytical findings to support business growth and decision-making.

Provide preliminary financial reports and analysis for board meetings and special projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


REQUIREMENTS:

·      Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced degree (MBA, CPA) preferred.

·      6+ years of experience in accounting or finance related position, with at least 2 years of experience in financial operations and analysis preferred.

·      Knowledge and application of technical tools and skills required, including advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.

·      Proven expertise in financial modeling and analysis.

·      Strong proficiency with accounting and CRM systems; Sage Intacct and Salesforce experience a plus.

·      Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

·      Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to senior management.

·      Experience with advanced data visualization tools a plus.

·      Ability to think strategically with appropriate level of detail analysis to plan and execute.

·      Be proactive, self-assured and results oriented and have the ability to work independently.

·      Must possess a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, accuracy, and sense of urgency.


WORK ENVIRONMENTS:

·      This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and smart boards.


PHYSICIAL DEMANDS:

·      This position requires you to meet with various contacts, present information in a coherent and professional manner, and engage in general conversation. Must be able to use and manipulate normal office tools, converse effectively via correspondence and orally (especially the telephone), sit for prolonged periods of time and to move about the facilities, bend or stand, as necessary.
