Essential Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the leadership team to formulate the business's short and long-term financial and strategic plan.
  • Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team
  • Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance, and work with operating team to implement solutions.
  • Communicate to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results, work with business to drive solutions.
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentary on cost center results.
  • Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost-saving initiatives
  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions.
  • Lead preparation of monthly financial results and Monthly Operating Review presentation, including recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining of operations.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and drive change.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Must be able to work autonomously, effectively managing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications skills.
  • Fishing or Outdoor Industry experience preferred.
