This is a key member of the finance team for our fast-growing business. This Orlando based position will be responsible for all aspects of SEC reporting, requiring significant knowledge and experience in applying and interpreting complex technical accounting, reporting, and disclosure requirements.

Job Qualifications And Requirements

Global Financial Reporting and Consolidation for Public Company

  • Global responsibility for the consolidation of a multinational enterprise including preparation of the monthly financial statements of all legal entities.
  • Accountable for managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close calendars, regulatory filings, and board meetings
  • Serve as primary contact with external auditors to ensure effective execution of audit and financial reporting activities.
  • Ensure material and significant transactions are evaluated based on US-GAAP and SEC rules for the appropriate accounting treatments, prepare white papers to support and implement appropriate accounting policies to support treatment.
  • Deliver timely financial reports, SEC forms and filings for publicly traded company
  • Prepare Audit Committee materials to review quarterly results and other audit committee matters as needed.

Integration of New Acquisitions and Joint Ventures

  • Coordinate the conversion of acquired business and joint ventures to US-GAAP
  • Harmonize accounting policies and procedures globally
  • Develop and deploy accounting policies and procedures to increase transparency and comparability of the targets’ financial statements

Oversight for Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting

  • Responsibility for the design, monitoring and effectiveness of internal controls around financial reporting.

Statutory Reporting

  • Liaising with external auditors and joint venture partners in respect any statutory year-end, group reporting, tax compliance, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven years or more of combined relevant SEC reporting experience in a US-listed publicly traded company and/ or the assurance practice of a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Prior experience with multinational businesses, equity method investees and corporate joint venture arrangements in the hospitality and entertainment industry desired
  • Active CPA
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite desired
  • Proven coach and mentor of talent with proven success in growing and developing a team
  • Ability to work effectively on a cross-functional basis a collaborative fast-growing organization
