    • Annual compensation: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 depending on experience, plus bonus.
Position Overview: Under the direction of the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer (CLO), the Director of Compliance: provides regulatory and compliance advice and guidance to FCC personnel, including management staff and regional leadership; provides compliance oversight to ensure organizational adherence to federal and state legal/regulatory requirements; monitors changes in policies, regulations, and laws and provides guidance and education to FCC personnel; assists with Compliance Program implementation and oversight, including the preparation of meeting materials and reports.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Reports to and supports the CLO.
  • Provides regulatory and compliance guidance and services, related to healthcare operations, laws, and other compliance matters that affect FCC, including state and federal patient privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), fraud and abuse, employment law, provider licensure, corporate practice of medicine, new state entry, etc.
  • Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and revises activities as needed to continually improve its effectiveness.
  • Maintains contemporary knowledge of all federal and state laws, regulations and statutes impacting FCC daily operations and provides routine education to leadership.
  • Provides direction and oversight related to licensure and accreditation.
  • Partners with the Human Resources Department to develop a compliance training.
  • Promptly responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
  • Identifies and addresses potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. In partnership with Human Resources, develops/implements corrective actions for resolution of issues and provides general guidance and education to inform response to future events.
  • Maintains the compliance Hotline and HIPAA Disclosure Log and insures patients' rights in compliance with federal and state laws.

Other Duties:

  • Preforms other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited College of Law preferred.
  • 2- 7 years’ experience managing corporate compliance, risk, and/or regulatory programs or practicing law in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, risk, and human resource procedures and regulations required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Privacy and Security rules and regulations as they apply to healthcare organizations.
  • Compliance certification preferred.
  • Current working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy, Federal and State regulations and policies.
