Director of Human Resources - Manufacturing Operations

Aligns human resources with business objectives in designated locations and/or functional areas. Partners with location and function management on human resources-related issues while acting as a champion for employees and a change agent.

Responsibilities

  • Implements the human resources strategy and associated initiatives by partnering with assigned locations or functions . This includes identify ing , prioritiz ing , and build ing organizational capabilities, behaviors and structures .
  • Supports management in assigned locations or functions in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with business strategy
  • Participates in the development of h uman r esources long-range plan and annual operating plan
  • Drives the people processes (performance, development, and career) to ensure that employees’ level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards
  • Provides advice and coaching to leaders, managers and employees as appropriate
  • Manages specific projects as determined in the annual HR operati ng plan as well as pa rticipating i n functional and cross-functional initiatives
  • Collaborates within H R team to develop, document and recommend continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions
  • Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Skills Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of principles & practices of HR, including HR regulations and compliance
  • Experience in building business plan and/or HR strategy development
  • Skilled in employee relations with demonstrated ability to partner and influence at all levels in the business and to be viewed as a credible, valuable source of information and integral part of management team
  • Experience building and/or delivering change management and organizational development strategies
  • Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and oversee project or team with multiple assignments and to meet set deadlines; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees
  • Fluent in English and local language(s) as needed
  • Solid computer skills

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management , b usiness, or equivalent education and experience; master’s degree highly preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Ten years of related professional, progressive experience in human resources, manufacturing preferred, with a minimum three years management experience

Certifications

  • PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
