Contract To Hire (Temporary to Permanent)
Job Summary: Saras AI Institute is seeking a passionate and innovative Director of Human Skills to lead and enhance our Human Skills program. This essential leadership role involves the strategic design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive human skills curriculum, focusing on critical areas such as communication, leadership, ethics, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a diverse team of faculty, industry experts, and students to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and impactful. The Director will balance academic and administrative responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to shape the future of human skills education. This position reports directly to the Chief Academic Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Design and Development:
Lead the strategic design and continuous enhancement of the Human Skills curriculum.
Ensure the curriculum integrates foundational theories with practical, hands-on applications.
Incorporate the latest advancements in communication, leadership, ethics, and teamwork into the curriculum.
Develop and implement innovative teaching and assessment strategies to maximize student learning outcomes.
Faculty Collaboration And Mentorship
Collaborate with faculty members to develop course content, teaching materials, and assessment tools.
Mentor and support faculty in adopting cutting-edge pedagogical approaches and integrating human skills development into their teaching.
Foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment for both faculty and students.
Industry Engagement
Forge and maintain strong partnerships with industry leaders to ensure the curriculum remains aligned with industry needs and emerging trends.
Facilitate internships, co-op programs, and industry-sponsored projects to provide students with real-world experience.
Invite industry experts to guest lecture, lead workshops, and provide critical feedback on the curriculum.
Program Evaluation And Assessment
Develop and implement a comprehensive evaluation system to assess the effectiveness of the Human Skills curriculum.
Collect and analyze data on student performance, learning outcomes, and satisfaction.
Utilize data-driven insights to inform curriculum revisions and continuous improvement.
Administrative Duties
Manage the budget and resources allocated for the Human Skills curriculum.
Oversee the scheduling and delivery of Human Skills courses.
Supervise course facilitators and other support staff.
Actively participate in faculty committees and contribute to the academic governance of the institute.
Qualifications
Education:
Ph.D. in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in human skills research (peer-reviewed publications) and/or practical application (workshops, training programs).
Experience in teaching at the undergraduate level.
Experience
Proven track record in curriculum design, development, and assessment.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in collaborating with industry partners.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Experience in developing online or blended learning courses.
Familiarity with ethics, diversity, and inclusion in education and the workplace.
Publications in human skills-related journals or conferences.
Appointment
This is a non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor faculty appointment.
