DIRECTOR OF IT

The Director of IT is responsible for the overall management, planning, direction, coordination, and security of computer information technology and telecommunications services and programs for Casino Queen Gaming. The IT Director will manage such areas as computer systems analysis and design, database and/or network administration, systems programming, telecommunications systems, and/or other computer information technology specialties while meeting all budgetary requirements, policy and planning responsibilities, and payroll objectives. The IT Director shall supervise all professional computer information technology and support staff.

  • Knowledge and practical experience in business management, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership principles, and techniques, and directing and coordinating operational activities.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer networks and systems management and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in systems analysis and preventive systems planning.
  • Able to write clear, concise reports and have the ability to communicate information effectively and appropriately; must understand written documents and information and be able to present reports in a manner appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Identify complex problems and research related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Able to combine pieces of information to form conclusions, establish relationships, or identify patterns or trends that may impact business activities or financial performance.
  • Detail-oriented and highly accurate in carrying out the functions of the position.
  • Establish long-range goals and objectives and specify strategies, actions, and timelines to achieve them.
  • Responsible for all outcomes of subordinate personnel and resulting work generated from all departments assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related areas
  • Or possess at least three (3) years of management experience in computer programming, systems analysis and design, database and/or network administration, and/or other computer information technology specialties.
  • Or a combination of education and experience will suffice.
