Join us as an Operations Manager. This position plays a pivotal role in collaborating with our partner clinical team and training our multi-site Patient Navigators to successfully educate patients on the benefits of genetic testing and early detection.


Position Summary: As the Director of Legal at HALO Dx, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the legal aspects of our innovative health tech company. You will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance across all areas of the business, protecting HALO Dx's legal interests, and supporting our strategic goals. You will work collaboratively with various departments to drive the company’s success while navigating the complexities of healthcare regulations and legal challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, guiding the company’s operations to meet all legal standards.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a broad array of contracts, including vendor agreements, licensing agreements, and other legal documents central to our health tech operations.
  • Equity Compensation: Advise on and manage equity compensation matters related to M&A transactions, new hires, and terminations.
  • Corporate Governance: Oversee the maintenance of corporate records, governance documents, and other related matters to ensure robust corporate governance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding the company’s interests.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Collaborate on the legal aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence and contract negotiation, to support strategic growth.
  • Litigation Management: Work closely with external counsel on any litigation matters, providing oversight and guidance as needed.
  • Employee Training: Design and implement training programs to ensure that employees are well-informed about legal and compliance requirements.
  • Legal Research: Stay informed on the latest legal developments in the health tech industry and proactively recommend adjustments to company policies and practices.
  • Data Privacy and Security: Support the company’s data privacy and security initiatives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with admission to the California bar.
  • A minimum of five years of legal experience, with a focus on healthcare or technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal compliance.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to legal challenges.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, and healthcare law is highly desirable.
