Based in Dumbo, Brooklyn, the Aerflo team is an innovative, scrappy, nimble and determined startup excited to change the way people drink sparkling water. This role is in-office in Brooklyn.
OVERVIEW
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced omnichannel marketing leader who will own marketing strategy and the full marketing function and org across D2C and retail customer acquisition, retention, customer insights and marketing analytics, brand marketing and creative. This role reports directly to our co-founder and co-CEOs, Buzz Wiggins and John Thorp and manages one brand marketing direct report in addition to marketing and creative agencies and consultants. This leader will be hands on and build out and hire the marketing org as the company grows. We are looking for a well rounded, analytical, customer-first marketer and leader that drives growth and believes in the power of brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy, Planning & Budgeting:
In partnership with the founders and head of finance, lead yearly and quarterly marketing strategy, planning and budgeting exercises.
Own full marketing budget and reporting
Integrated Marketing Campaign and Calendar Management:
Own the marketing calendar and drive brand and performance marketing initiatives and campaigns
Oversee performance marketing,
Oversee retention marketing
Oversee third-party retail marketing
Oversee the creation of all marketing materials and assets in alignment with brand strategy and operational needs
PR & Affiliate: Manage brand communications and media in partnership with our brand marketing manager and our PR firm
Social Content. Manage our social platforms in partnership with our brand marketing manager
Leadership: Foster a customer first mindset and a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning as we build out the marketing team
Management: Manage the marketing team, collaborate on marketing hiring plan, lead hiring processes
Insights & Analytics: Manage all marketing analytics and consumer insights
THIS SHOULD DESCRIBE YOU:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
8+ years of experience in consumer marketing
You have a ownership mindset; organized and able to see through projects from start to finish: knows how to drive high level strategy but can also steer projects to completion
Ruthless prioritizer: you can prioritize not only business needs and activities, but also their day-to-day to ensure focus on the most important projects to meet objectives
Collaborator and strong cross-functional influencer: you foster healthy relationships and rapport and have a proven track record of gaining alignment and influence quickly with a diverse group of stakeholders. You can navigate conversations across functions and with external partners
Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling consumer products
Demonstrated ability lead and inspire teams
You are a critical thinker
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

COMPENSATION
Base Salary: The base salary hiring range for this position is but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s skill level and experience. This role includes medical & dental benefits and equity-based compensation.
