The Role
This is an exciting time to join Woolf and help build a university for a borderless future. Woolf is a globally distributed company backed by world-class investors, and our roles are remote/WFH.
We are seeking a Director of Marketing (title flexible) to lead marketing efforts (especially demand generation) and drive Woolf's next phase of growth. As a core, senior member of our team, you will:
- Oversee and steward the Woolf University brand and voice, both as a tech company and a university
- Lead and mentor a small but growing marketing team, fostering an environment of creativity, clarity, and excellence.
- Manage four (4) initial supporting reports: a graphic designer, a webpage developer, copywriter, and marketing generalist.
- Navigate Woolf's b2b and b2c audience (compare to Klarna.com/us/ for b2c and b2b)
- Build our profile as an innovative, high-quality university which b2b and b2c customers respect and want to join
- Create and execute a data-driven B2B marketing strategy focused on demand generation, lead acquisition, and campaign optimization
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels (SEM, social media, email, and display), using tools like Salesforce for tracking and analysis
- Work closely with the sales team and a graphic designer to create effective sales enablement materials and collaborate on Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies that target high-value customers
- Collaboratively support Woolf's participation in high-visibility events and initiatives that contribute to Woolf's brand influence, working with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee A/B testing, user segmentation, and the optimization of all campaigns to enhance audience engagement and conversion
- Balance a broad mandate with focussed outcomes in a start up environment
- Develop and implement content marketing strategies to build brand awareness and drive customer acquisition
- Lead the global demand generation strategy and develop campaigns that convert leads into customers
- Own and refine Woolf's corporate brand in collaboration with the other functional teams (Product, Operations, Partnerships)
- Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, including a copywriter and graphic designer
- Create and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns and ensure Salesforce integration for accurate tracking
- Optimize marketing efforts through data analysis, testing, and audience segmentation
- Develop strong relationships with the sales team to support demand generation and sales enablement
- Own Woolf's participation in key events, ensuring alignment with our overall marketing and branding strategy
- 5+ years of hands-on marketing experience in a B2B start up role, ideally within SaaS or high growth edtech companies
- Proven experience in building and scaling a start up marketing team
- Excellent understanding of B2B marketing, including demand generation and account-based strategies
- Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems (Salesforce)
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Data-driven decision-maker with a strong analytical mindset
- Experience in agile marketing environments, focused on continuous improvement
- Proven track record in driving marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Highly motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Annual Compensation - commensurate with experience level
