Role Overview: As a leader of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of highly skilled analysts responsible for delivering world-class cybersecurity services to our clients. This position requires a strategic mindset, extensive knowledge of cybersecurity, and a proven track record in managing and enhancing Managed Detection and Response programs.


Responsibilities:


Leadership and Strategy:

Develop and execute a strategic vision for the team within the MDR space.

Provide leadership in the design and implementation of MDR services, ensuring they align with industry best practices and emerging trends.

Team Management:

Will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of consulting analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of analysts to ensure a high level of technical expertise and operational efficiency.

Develop and implement performance management processes, including regular assessments, goal-setting, and professional development plans.

Client Engagement:

Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and challenges.

Collaborate with clients to tailor MDR services to their specific requirements and provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity posture.

Incident Response and Investigation:

Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution.

Conduct in-depth investigations into security events, providing analysis and recommendations for remediation.

Security Operations Center (SOC) Enhancement:

Drive the improvement of SOC capabilities, processes, and technologies to enhance detection and response capabilities.

Work closely with technology partners to stay abreast of the latest tools and methodologies in the MDR landscape.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of MDR services.

Generate regular reports for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure MDR services comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay current on cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to continuously enhance MDR offerings.

Implement feedback loops and improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.


Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing MDR services.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, and a proven ability to hire, supervise, and manage high-performance teams.

Salary commensurate with experience. We offer a range of great benefits to our employees: medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability and life insurance benefits. The company provides 15 PTO days and 10 paid company holidays per year.

Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) such as role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, geography, and experience. In

addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.


The expected annual base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $230,000.
