01 The Job
As the Director of Middle Donor Development, you will lead a team of relational fundraisers who initiate and nurture strong, trusting relationships with middle donors while pursuing the goal of engaging them in meaningful service to the poor. Implement and maintain a clear focus on fundraising for World Vision's programs, ensuring that funding is directed towards current and future initiatives that are appropriately aligned with the overall programs strategy of World Vision. You will help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign. Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.

04 You Bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). Work experience in fundraising and/sales; 5-8 years, including five or more years supervising a sales or fundraising team.
05 Salary Range & Benefits
The full range for this position is $98,427 - $161,275 annually. This applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $115,000 to $135,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity. STRATEGY:
- Partner with Vice President of Philanthropy in the development and execution of the middle donor strategy for World Vision U.S and the establishment of annual calendars.
- Establish priorities and set specific, quantifiable and measurable performance goals.
- Closely monitor Middle Donor team's performance, identifying roadblocks and inefficiencies, and prescribing plans for resolution.
- Provide work direction to a team of Account Managers through designated team leads, ensuring tasks align with established targets. Monitor progress toward goals and provide feedback/coaching as needed.
- Review departmental plans, processes, programs and budgets to ensure approved objectives and goals are implemented. Partner with Campaign Operations and Donor Research teams as needed to obtain necessary information to inform decisions.
- Ensure appropriate reporting is provided to donors.
- Receive potential new leads from Donor Contact Center. Evaluate and ensure they receive appropriate treatment.
- Partner with marketing, Advocacy, Communications, Women of Vision and other teams regarding current communications and programs. Create talking points and ensure donor calls complement marketing/advocacy materials and programs currently taking place.
- Cultivate donors and partner in the effective transfer of qualified donors on to the Major Donor Ministries team, helping to ensure transition goes smoothly.
- Monitor market trends and mentor and develop team members to incorporate new and innovative approaches.
- Hire, fire, train, counsel, evaluate, and develop best in class fundraising team
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
- Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.
