Description Of Work

The Director of Olympic Sports Rehabilitation will be responsible for administering, coordinating, and monitoring rehabilitation protocols for student-athletes in Olympic sports under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director of Athletic Medicine and Chief Medical Director/Head Team Physician. This position will collaborate and communicate effectively with sport assigned athletic trainers, team physicians, and other members of the performance team to ensure positive patient outcomes in surgical cases and/or long-term rehabs. This position will monitor progressions and assist in data driven processes for return to play, specific to each sport. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of athletes in a diverse community required. Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as Teamworks & Smartabase is desired. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Working within athletic medicine could involve working long hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Adherence to all NCAA , conference, and institutional rules and regulations will be required.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Masters or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited institution and 5 (five) years full-time experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. Current Nebraska license in Physical Therapy or license eligible. Emergency response certification ( CPR / AED , Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire. Please submit a copy of your PT license and any additional licensure(s) or certification(s).

Preferred Qualifications

4 (four) years post-graduate experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of orthopedic/athletic injuries to student-athletes at the Division I or Professional sports level preferred. Experience with use of testing modalities including, but not limited to, VALD Performance Suite, Catapult, and isokinetic dynamometry. Experience working within a collaborative performance team preferred. Athletic Trainer Certified ( ATC ) preferred. CSCS or SCCC certification preferred. Additional continuing education certification(s) preferred.
