DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS

The Director of Operations will have a deep understanding of organizational processes and workflows at TMG, then create and execute solutions for optimization and efficiency. This role is also responsible for the success of the core business solutions and operations functions, including the day-to-day people leadership and management of the Back-Office Operations team. People Leadership at TMG means there is an equilibrium between hands on daily impact and driving the execution of strategic initiatives.

ROLE INFORMATION

  • Status: Full-Time (Hybrid)

  • Compensation Structure: Base Salary + Bonus
  • Reports to: Kristen Oziemkowski, Chief Operating Officer

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the COO to lead and coordinate efforts across various functional teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of strategic initiatives and achieving organizational goals efficiently.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team by fostering a collaborative culture, provide clear direction and support, and ensure continuous development to achieve goals and drive excellence.
  • Assist with reporting needs, including monthly financial updates, TMG-PE board presentations, M&A performance analysis, ADV reporting, and other data-driven projects.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of TMG’s tech stack, including business processes, workflows, and integrations.
  • Work with functional teams to manage data integrity across all data repositories, specifically Salesforce and Orion.
  • Create and implement data reconciliation processes and risk controls to ensure standardization across technology platforms.
  • Drive accuracy of portfolio accounting, billing, performance reporting, and CRM data for all clients/accounts across various platforms.
  • Establish, communicate, implement, and oversee streamlined controls across key operational functions.
  • Communicate with custodians and vendors to enhance services and resolve complex issues related to daily processes and data delivery.
  • Monitor and execute monthly and quarterly client billing operations and performance reporting.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and comprehension.
  • Provide education and competitive intelligence on operational processes and best practices.
  • Design, document, and implement efficient and effective operational procedures to support business needs.
  • Proactive continuous improvement of operational processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Drive collaboration between internal teams to support informed decision-making and data-driven insights, consistent with TMG’s vision and strategy.
  • Execute and oversee operational deliverables related to M&A integrations, including systems, applications, people, and processes.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the business, including developing and implementing risk management operational strategies.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, plus 10+ years of experience, with deep knowledge across various wealth management functions.
  • Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) or Broker Dealer experience required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience leading and developing a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral; confident in interaction with senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker, possess strong facilitation and data gathering skills, and able to provide creative and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple simultaneous, unique projects.
  • Strong organizational change management skills.
  • Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proven experience delivering projects to completion, on time and on budget.
