Job Duties
- Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of MRO services and materials.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure favorable pricing, quality, and service levels.
- Sourcing and Vendor Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and service providers capable of meeting the organization's requirements, considering factors such as reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Cost Management: Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and process optimization while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks related to procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and forecast future needs.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors/suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices, including FAA regulations, ITAR, and export controls.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement processes and initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, finance, and operations, to align procurement activities with organizational goals and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in procurement, supply chain management, or related roles, preferably with a focus on aviation MRO.
- Proven track record of strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems and e-procurement platforms.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
