What You Will Be Doing

The Albertsons Media Collective has an opening for a Director, Product Management - Retail Media Innovation. We are committed to building transparent, effective and innovative Products for US based Marketers, including but not limited to the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry. Reporting to the VP of the Product, Retail Media, you will own the Product Roadmap and Innovation priorities.

As a part of the role, the position will define and lead strategic initiatives for the Albertson Media Collective, an organization focused on providing end-to-end services Media solutions for CPGs and Non-Endemic Companies. These Products drive new revenue streams for an evolving Retailer, your work will connect directly to the revenue forecast. We strive for high standards in marketing transparency, Ad Tech innovation, data accuracy, privacy protection, and most important, Client success.

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, Pleasanton, California or Seattle, Washington.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive the Innovation strategy, vision, and roadmap for Retail Media, considering business financial goals, data analysis, and a clear understanding of Client needs.
  • Lead a Team of Product minded innovators, to design and deliver pilots that prove the value of new ideas quickly
  • Hire, develop, and recognize a highly capable team of innovators and business developers, this will include mentorship and soft leadership skills
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Media planning, Creative, Operations, and Product Marketing to bring our Innovations to life at scale.
  • Develop partnerships with Industry leaders to co-deliver the next wave of Retail Media capabilities. This includes The Trade Desk, Google, Pinterest, Meta, Liveramp, ...
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and consumer needs to inform business decisions and priorities
  • Manage prioritization and “blockers” to achieve financial goals
  • Work closely with engineers, business owners, and a commercial team to successfully test and learn what new Products and Features are needed
  • Attend and present at Industry events to represent our Brand, and grow industry partnerships
  • Identify risks early in the project lifecycle, then orchestrate mitigation strategies that honor Albertsons Legal and Privacy standards, while driving business goals

The salary range is $135,800 to $190,100 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What We Are Searching For

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in Business development in Digital Media OR product development focused on Ad Tech/Media
  • 12+ years working in B2B Partnerships with Media and Technology companies
  • Experience defining multi-year product strategies and executing on associated roadmaps
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally to deliver results on time and on budget
  • Strong knowledge of agile methods and tools
  • Extensive knowledge of the Consumer-Packaged Goods Industry or the Retailer business model
  • Understand how Brands spend money and unique tactics behind Trade, Shopper and National budgets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
