PURPOSE:

The Director of Program Manager supports client programs through Process Development and into GMP Manufacturing of gene therapy viral vectors. The Director is well-versed in contract clinical manufacturing and effectively delivering client projects in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for developing, tracking, and reporting on Genezen's client programs. The Director of Program Management will contribute to Genezen's success by ensuring each project is launched, managed, and concluded to the satisfaction of the client.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

  • Lead Project Management team to ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, to specification and to client satisfaction
  • Delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience and time constraints
  • Establish and maintain good communication channels between clients and internal stakeholders
  • Establish and implement project management processes and tools as well as train project management staff on their consistent use
  • Plan and oversee the preparation and dissemination of project communications
  • Ensure each team member understands the timeline, budget, and client expectations as well as their role in the project
  • Create strong client relationships through open communication, frequent meetings, and quick response to client needs
  • Conducts risk assessment and provide recommendation for risk mitigation within each project and across functional areas
  • Partner with senior staff to assess strategic goals of the company and to establish team metrics in alignment with those objectives
  • Adaptability required as work schedule may change based on business needs
  • Provide project status reports to executive team

BS degree in scientific field

PMP training or certification

ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE



5+ years of experience effectively managing projects in pharmaceutical or biotech company, CDMO, CRO, or related experience

Essential

3+ years of life science laboratory experience, especially cell culture, molecular biology, virology

Desired

SKILLS / ABILITIES



Proficient in MS Office Suite, including MS Project or similar project management software
