Job Summary

We are seeking a Director of Sales for a remote position within a specific region, with required travel. In this role, you will direct and oversee our organization's sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. You will develop tactics, operational plans, and processes to implement district-level sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and achieve financial objectives.

Education and Experience

BS/BA or 7+ years of related experience.

Proven success in direct sales and sales management (experience with Value-Added Resellers (VAR) preferred).

Strong business, sales, and financial acumen.

Experience interacting with senior-level executives (VP level or higher).

Deep knowledge of the technology marketplace, OEM solutions, and VAR channel programs.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong track record in sales and sales management.

Proficient in forecasting and driving quarterly/annual results.

Excellent recruiting skills with broad relationships in the assigned market.

Background in KPI management.

Ability to build a territory and grow existing accounts (cross-sell & upsell).

Capability to understand complex business problems and identify key issues for selling technology solutions.

Proven self-starter who can work both as a team member and independently.

Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Establish and implement initiatives, processes, tools, and structure to support the sales organization's operations.

Oversee goal setting for departmental and group levels, using data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance.

Implement methods and systems to effectively analyze and monitor the industry, business environment, clients, and competitors to expand the business.

Use market and customer insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders and suggest new solutions or products.

Build effective sales and support teams through recruiting, mentoring, and development programs.

Participate in and negotiate strategic high-value sales.

Manage departmental budget and create strategies and objectives to meet the organization's strategic sales goals.

Focus on customer acquisition, retention, and growth of targeted accounts with mid to senior executive contacts.

Expand current business to increase sales via a full range of products and services.

Co-create and support local and national marketing initiatives.

Assess client business issues and performance gaps, and recommend appropriate training and development solutions.

Collaborate with team members to achieve individual and team growth goals.

Meet all quota and activity levels.

Demonstrate competency in selling, with an in-depth understanding of the market, buying processes, account development, sales relationships, consultative selling, performance analysis, networking, and prospecting skills.

Deliver strong presentations and communications, both written and verbal.

Perform other related duties as needed.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

This position involves working in a typical business office or home office environment.

Requires use of general office equipment and personal computer equipment.

Ability to travel frequently, using various means including auto and air travel.

May require working irregular schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
