POSITION OVERVIEW


Gameday Couture is a well-established manufacturer of officially licensed college, NFL and other professional sports apparel for women. With a strong presence in the market including over 400 college and pro licenses, and as a proud Mark Cuban Company, we are looking to expand our social media presence by reaching out to millions of sports fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.


As the Director of Social Media, you will act as the architect of our brand’s digital persona and be responsible for leading our social media strategy, driving engagement and fostering brand loyalty across various digital platforms. You will spearhead innovative campaigns and craft authentic and compelling narratives, own the content calendar, oversee content creation & curation, manage brand ambassadors and content creators, utilize analytics and leverage industry trends to continually enhance our brand presence across various platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Pinterest.


This pivotal role demands a visionary with a firm grasp on social media dynamics, the female sports consumer & culture and the fashion audience. The ideal candidate must be a data-driven strategist with strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, and have the ability to be flexible and nimble, regularly pivoting in new directions based on the brand’s evolving business needs and the current cultural context.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategy Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the brand's objectives that resonates with our target audiences, highlights our products, brand values, community initiatives and industry trends.
  • Craft platform specific strategies to acquire a new customer demographic while keeping our current audience engaged.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth, audience engagement and brand awareness.


Content Creation & Campaign Management

  • Spearhead the creation, curation and execution of engaging content that is tailored for each of our social media platforms.
  • Own the editorial calendar and planning process, ensuring regular and timely posting across all platforms.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging and visual identity across all content and touchpoints.
  • Concept and execute innovative social media campaigns to drive brand awareness, product & collection launches and promotions.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to increase the amount of content being produced for all channels.


Partnerships & Community Engagement

  • Own the content creators, brand ambassador and community engagement programs: actively source, identify, evaluate and negotiate partnerships, lead and communicate our content strategy and expectations, provide key messages, visual guidelines and framework to ensure our brand voice and DNA is captured in all content.
  • Maintain and organize influencer assets to ensure all needs are captured and reflected in brand, product campaigns and content plans.


Analytics

  • Utilize social media analytics tools to track, analyze and report on KPI’s across paid and organic tactics per platform and campaign. Provide actionable insights and next steps. Use insights to continually optimize content strategies, provide actionable insights and next steps.
  • Conduct in-depth audience research to understand customer demographics, preferences and behavior. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and social media platform updates.
  • Perform tests, competitive analysis and social listening to identify trends and consumer need gaps.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in social media management for a DTC / retail fashion brand with a proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies and campaigns that have gained and maintained organic growth.
  • Passion, in-depth knowledge, understanding and experience with all social media platforms with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Creative thinker and storyteller, strong visual eye and copywriting skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, analytics tools and best practices for content creation, distribution and optimization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, data tools/platforms, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent project management skills. Detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in direct influencer communication and campaign management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and engage with audiences effectively.
  • Deep understanding of the female sports consumer, sports cultures and fashion.
  • Experience with Canva, Airtable and Shopify a plus.
