Performance Abilities
The candidate will assist with all facets of athletic performance ranging from strength, conditioning, and flexibility to sports nutrition and efficient implementation of performance technology. The Director will also oversee the Performance Education program designed to educate our student athletes on the lifestyle and demands placed on them as student athletes. Must be able to motivate and cultivate our student athletes while supporting the athletic department’s mission. Professionalism in dealing with coaches and high school aged students while being proficient with common computer software, and performance testing protocol. Work independently and with minimal supervision.

- Maintain professionalism in dress, speech, and manner.
- Communicate and deal effectively with all members of the school community and community at large.
- Perform in a manner that reflects positively on the school.
- Perform all duties as requested by the Head of School.
- Observes assigned work hours.
- Maintains a pattern of prompt and regular attendance.
- Performance Responsibilities
- Provide input and support to the Athletic Department.
- Assist in all aspects of training for assigned sports.
- Design programs and testing protocols for various sports.
- Assist non-athlete students in the development of fitness programs.
- Maintain an open line of communication with the other members of the athletic department staff and sport coaches.
- Maintain the upkeep and maintenance of a safe performance facility.
- Serve as instructor for high school level weightlifting course and sports performance courses as assigned.
- Work with ALL PE classes grades 7 - 12 to instruct on use of the weight room, fitness goals, health topics, etc.
- Work with the PE department to help redefine the curriculum in grades 7 - 12.
- Actively strive to grow the strength & conditioning program through positive relationships with the student body, faculty, coaches, parents of students and community.
- Be able to provide detailed explanations of the strength & conditioning program at Open House and Prospective Family tours and events.
- Prepare the strength & conditioning program to support future internships with students from colleges or universities.
- Be on duty at all home Football games and help with athletic contests as directed by Athletic Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Training and Experience
- Maintains expertise in assigned areas.
- Participates successfully in professional learning opportunities available to increase skill and proficiency related to assignment.

- Physical Requirements
- Often required to lift more than 30 pounds while performing normal job duties.
- Working conditions consist of both indoor and seasonal outdoor environments.
- May work at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Masters is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in training large teams or athletic organizations, preferably at the high school level.
- Must possess the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), or an equivalent certification.
- Physically able to perform assigned duties.
